Alka Lamba is an Indian politician. She has had a dynamic and multifaceted political career, marked by transitions across different parties and a strong advocacy for social issues, particularly those affecting women and youth. Lamba began her political journey with the Indian National Congress (INC), where she served in various capacities, including as the President of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) and as the All India Mahila Congress General Secretary. During her time with the Congress, she was a vocal voice on issues related to women's empowerment, student rights, and social justice.

In 2014, Lamba shifted her allegiance to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), drawn by its anticorruption stance and promise of clean governance. She successfully contested the Delhi Legislative Assembly election in 2015 from the Chandni Chowk constituency, becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). While with AAP, she actively participated in legislative debates and focused on issues relevant to her constituency, including infrastructure development and public health. Following her departure from AAP, Lamba returned to the Indian National Congress.
