Babar (teacher) - A Lifestory
Inspiring Educator: Transforming Lives, One Lesson At A Time

Someone is not just a teacher; they are a great example, a true story of how one person can do so much. Like the main person in a happy movie, their story makes people feel hopeful and strong. Born without much, their story started in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Their love for teaching was clear very early. At only nine years old, in 2002, they began teaching other kids under a guava tree in their yard. This easy start grew into Ananda Siksha Niketan, a school that has given free learning to hundreds of kids who don't have much. Coworkers admire their strong promise. As one teacher said, "They show a true heart of helping others, giving their life to help people with learning." Their work has been seen by people all over the world, including being shown on BBC, and getting them the name of "the youngest headmaster in the world" by 2009. Their story shows how strong learning is and how much one person can do. They keep making teachers and students feel excited, proving that age doesn't stop you from making good changes in the world. Their promise sounds like the feeling in the movie "Dead Poets Society": "Carpe diem. Use the day, boys. Make your lives amazing." They did just that.
