Balaji Mohan is an Indian film director and screenwriter, primarily working in Tamil cinema. He gained recognition for his innovative storytelling and refreshing approach to filmmaking, often blending romance, comedy, and sliceoflife narratives. Mohan made his directorial debut with the short film "Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi" (How to Impress a Girl), which was later expanded into a successful feature film of the same name in 2012. This romantic comedy, exploring the various mishaps and humorous situations encountered during courtship, established his signature style and garnered him critical acclaim.
Following the success of his debut, Mohan directed "Vaayai Moodi Pesavum" (Speak Without Speaking) in 2014, a satirical romantic comedy centered around a town struck by a sudden outbreak of muteness.
