The person was more than just a name; they were a very important person in India's fight for freedom and a big voice in making the country's early government. They were trained as a doctor, but they became a strong supporter of selfrule, leaving a lasting mark as a politician and historian. Their path wasn't easy to guess. While many know them for their big role in the Indian National Congress, it's important to remember they were also very involved in the thinking and social movements that helped the freedom fight. They started the newspaper "Janmabhumi" in 1928, a strong way to spread ideas about wanting their own country. Their promise to economic selfhelp led them to start the Andhra Bank in 1923, showing they wanted India to be able to take care of itself moneywise. Their political work saw them move up in the Congress, ending with them running for Congress president in 1939, where they went against Subhas Chandra Bose. Even though they lost that vote, Mahatma Gandhi famously said that "the loss is more mine than theirs," showing how much weight they carried in the party. Besides politics, they wrote "The History of the Indian National Congress," a full story that is still a helpful source for understanding how the freedom movement grew. Their many contributions make their place as a key builder of modern India strong.
