Bindeshwar Pathak - A Lifestory

Bindeshwar Pathak was a prominent Indian social reformer and the founder of Sulabh International, an organization dedicated to sanitation, hygiene, and social reform. Born in a Brahmin family in Bihar, India, Pathak dedicated his life to improving the lives of the marginalized, particularly those involved in manual scavenging. He witnessed firsthand the dehumanizing conditions faced by these individuals and resolved to find a sustainable solution.

His groundbreaking work began with the development of a lowcost, twinpit pourflush toilet technology, known as the Sulabh toilet.
