Birendra Lakra is a former Indian professional field hockey player who served as a defender. Born on February 3, 1990, in Lachchagarh, Odisha, Lakra hails from a tribal family and rose through the ranks to become an integral part of the Indian national team. His hockey journey began at a young age, showcasing his talent and dedication early on. Lakra's strengths lay in his strong defensive skills, precise tackling, and ability to initiate attacks from the back.
