Faiz Fazal is an Indian cricketer, primarily known as a lefthanded opening batsman who also bowls rightarm offbreak. Born on September 7, 1985, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Fazal has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket for Vidarbha. He made his firstclass debut in the 2003/04 season and quickly established himself as a reliable runscorer. His consistent performances over the years earned him recognition, and he eventually captained the Vidarbha team, leading them to historic victories in the Ranji Trophy and Irani Cup in the 2017 season. These triumphs were particularly significant as they marked Vidarbha's maiden titles in both prestigious tournaments.
