Gukesh Dommaraju, born on May 29, 2006, in Chennai, India, is a chess prodigy who became one of the youngest Grandmasters in history at the age of 12. Starting chess at 5, he quickly rose through the ranks, earning the title of International Master (IM) at 10 and surpassing a FIDE rating of 2700 at 16. At 17, he became the youngest player to surpass a 2750 rating, setting a new milestone in chess. By 2024, he became the youngest undisputed World Chess Champion.
