Hanumappa Sudarshan is a renowned Indian social worker, tribal rights advocate, and medical doctor, best known for his decadeslong commitment to improving the lives of tribal communities in Karnataka, particularly the Soliga tribe. Born in Karnataka, Sudarshan dedicated his life to serving marginalized populations after witnessing the stark inequalities and lack of access to healthcare and education in rural areas. Sudarshan founded the Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra (VGKK) in B R Hills, Karnataka, an organization dedicated to the holistic development of tribal communities.
