Unyielding Courage: A Rifleman'S Unwavering Defense, Forever Remembered

A true hero of the Indian Army is still remembered, a soldier whose bravery was heard far beyond the 1962 Sino Indian War. He wasn't from a war movie, but a real soldier whose actions made people feel inspired. Even though he could have studied to be an officer, he said no and stayed a soldier. He is known for being brave during the Battle of Nuranang. He was in Arunachal Pradesh, and his group was in a very bad situation. On 17 November 1962, he, along with two other soldiers, said they would stay and fight the Chinese forces. What they did let the others go back and get ready again. They used smart ways to make it seem like there were many more soldiers than there really were, and they hurt the enemy a lot. Some people say their plan was like a scene from the movie "300," but it was much more dangerous in real life. Because he was so brave when things were impossible, he got a special award, the second highest military award in India, given after he died. Even now, many years after the 1962 War, people respect him as a symbol of always doing what you should and giving up yourself for others. Soldiers who were with him often talked about how calm he was, saying, "He never gave up, even when things looked bad."
