Kader Khan (October 22, 1937 – December 31, 2018) was a celebrated Indian actor, screenwriter, and producer, known for his extensive contributions to Bollywood. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, he moved to Mumbai and worked as a civil engineering professor before venturing into acting and screenwriting in the early 1970s. His debut came in Daag (1973), and he went on to appear in over 300 films, working with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Govinda. As a screenwriter, he wrote dialogues for over 200 films, with iconic works in Hera Pheri, Angoor, and Coolie No. 1. His collaborations with Bachchan and Govinda, particularly in comedy, became legendary. Known for his sharp wit, Khan's work was also marked by humility and generosity, such as donating extra earnings to charity. He passed away in 2018, leaving a lasting legacy in Indian cinema.
