Kushal Konwar - A Lifestory
Freedom'S Flame, Ignited By Unwavering Spirit, For Generations

He was not a regular person; he was a light of bravery when India was fighting to be free. He was born in 1905. This person who wanted change did not care about the fancy world of Bollywood movies. He gave his life to freeing India from British rule. The heroes in the movie 'Lagaan' fought for their village by playing cricket, but he fought a bigger fight for the whole country. He was peaceful and followed Mahatma Gandhi. He believed in being nonviolent. But things got so bad that he had to do more. He joined the Quit India Movement in 1942. This was a very important event that made the British Empire shake. Sadly, he was killed unfairly in 1943 because he was involved. Even though things were hard, he did not give up his friends or his beliefs. A friend said, "He was honest and always did what was right, even when things were very bad." His sacrifice still makes people want to be better. It reminds us that being free can cost a lot. He is still a sign of bravery. He is a real hero whose story should be told again and again. It is different from the stories in 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh', but just as strong and makes you want to do good.
