Malavika Mohanan is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films. Born in Payyanur, Kerala, to cinematographer K. U. Mohanan and Beena Mohanan, she inherited a strong connection to the film industry from a young age. After graduating with a degree in Mass Media from Wilson College, Mumbai, she initially considered a career in journalism or filmmaking. However, fate intervened when she was spotted by actor Mammootty, who recommended her to director Rosshan Andrrews for the Malayalam film "Pattam Pole" (2013), marking her acting debut.
