This person was not like most people; their life showed how much they wanted to fix society in India. Born on 11 April 1892, they spent their life working for freedom and helping those who were not treated well. Think of someone who would not just watch a movie like "Gandhi," but would instead change their own life to be fair and equal. They really cared about the country. Mahatma Gandhi inspired them, and they joined the Salt Satyagraha in 1930, bravely going against British rule. People who worked with them often said, "This person had a passion that could make things better everywhere." They started the Kasturba Ashram in Maroli, a safe place for women to learn and become stronger, like the ideas of helping yourself and working together in movies like "Mother India." Besides being involved in politics, they worked hard to help people who did not have much, especially women and children. They knew that real freedom was more than just being free from another country; it also meant being fair in society and money. Their work was like the big push for social change that happened in India in the early to mid 1900s. What they did still encourages people to fight for what is right, showing the spirit of someone who really wanted to fix society.
