A well known Indian teacher of nonduality was deeply connected to the Inchagiri Sampradaya, a line of teachers from the Navnath Sampradaya. He, unlike many spiritual people who went to religious places, lived a normal life as a store owner in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. Born in March 1897, his lessons, known for being clear and easy, spoke to people from all over the world. His way of teaching spirituality was not about fancy customs or hard to understand ideas. Instead, he focused on looking within yourself, asking people to think about what they really are. He pushed people to see their real selves as pure knowing, beyond the limits of their ego and mind. Many people liked his simple way of teaching. As one person said, "His words got rid of the confusion and showed the truth clearly." His talks, often held in his simple apartment, were written down and put together in the important book "I Am That," released in 1973. This book became a key part of his teachings, sharing his special mix of Advaita Vedanta with more people. He kept sharing his wisdom until he died in 1981, leaving behind a lasting impact that still inspires those trying to understand themselves.
