Pushpalata Das - A Lifestory

Pushpalata Das was an Indian independence activist, social worker, and legislator from Assam. Born in 1915, she dedicated her life to the service of her nation and its people. From a young age, Pushpalata was deeply influenced by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and the burgeoning Indian independence movement. This led her to actively participate in protests and campaigns against British rule, facing imprisonment and hardship for her unwavering commitment. After India gained independence, Pushpalata Das continued her work as a social worker and also entered politics, serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Assam.
