An Indian teacher and helper of people, who passed away in 2011, still has a lot of power and is loved by many. He was born as Sathyanarayana Raju in a village in Andhra Pradesh in 1926. When he was only 14, he said he was Sai Baba of Shirdi reborn. Sai Baba of Shirdi was a respected holy person who died in 1918. From that time on, his life was about leading people spiritually and helping them. He started Prasanthi Nilayam, his main place for followers, in the village. It became a place where people from all over the world came for spiritual help and comfort. He taught about love, truth, peace, doing what is right, and not using violence. These ideas are often called the five main human values. Besides teaching about spiritual things, he also did a lot to help people. The Sathya Sai Organization started many free schools, hospitals, and projects to give people clean water. The most important one was the Sathya Sai Ganga Canal Project, which gave clean water to areas that did not get enough rain. He believed that "Helping people is like helping God," and his groups tried to live by this idea. Even though he was a great inspiration to many people around the world, he also had problems. But, he had a big effect on spiritual ideas and helping people in India and around the world. He left behind a history of love, learning, and helping others.
