Saurabh Tiwary is an Indian cricketer known primarily for his aggressive lefthanded batting style and ability to hit big sixes. Born on December 30, 1989, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, he first rose to prominence through his performances in domestic cricket. He represented Jharkhand in various agegroup tournaments and eventually made his firstclass debut. His consistent performances in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic competitions earned him recognition and a reputation as a promising young talent.

Tiwary's breakthrough came during the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2009, where he was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad.
