Shivlal Yadav - A Lifestory
Spinning Success, Delivering Victories; A Cricketing Legend'S Legacy

Shivlal Yadav is a former Indian cricketer and cricket administrator who primarily played as an offspin bowler. He represented India in 35 Test matches and 7 One Day Internationals between 1979 and 1987. Yadav was known for his classical offspin bowling style, characterized by flight, guile, and accuracy. While not a prodigious turner of the ball, he relied on subtle variations in pace and trajectory to deceive batsmen. He was a consistent performer in domestic cricket, representing Hyderabad for many years and captaining the side with distinction.
Beyond his playing career, Shivlal Yadav transitioned into cricket administration. He served as a selector for the Indian national cricket team and later held the position of vicepresident of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). During his tenure as a BCCI official, he was involved in various aspects of cricket governance and development in India. He also served as the interim president of BCCI for a brief period in 2014. His contribution to Indian cricket, both on and off the field, has been significant, marking him as a respected figure in the cricketing fraternity.
