Surinder Amarnath - A Lifestory

Surinder Amarnath is a former Indian cricketer known for his righthanded batting and occasional rightarm medium pace bowling. He comes from a cricketing family; his father, Lala Amarnath, was the first captain of independent India's cricket team, and his brother, Mohinder Amarnath, was a key member of the 1983 World Cupwinning squad. Surinder made his Test debut in 1976 against New Zealand in Auckland, where he scored a century in his very first innings, becoming one of the few Indian cricketers to achieve this feat. This memorable innings showcased his talent and potential at the international level.

Despite his promising start, Surinder's international career was relatively shortlived. He played in a limited number of Test matches and One Day Internationals for India.
