Tarun Phukan - A Lifestory

Tarun Ram Phukan was a prominent figure in Assam's history, renowned for his contributions to the Indian independence movement and his multifaceted personality. Born in 1877 into an aristocratic Assamese family, he received his education in Calcutta and later in England, where he studied law. This exposure to Western thought and political systems instilled in him a deep sense of nationalism and a desire for selfgovernance for India.
