A Bright Star, Forever Young, Shining On Screen
Taruni Sachdev was a child actress and model who gained recognition for her appearances in Indian films and television commercials. Born on May 14, 1998, she began her career at a very young age, quickly becoming a familiar face in the Indian advertising industry. She was particularly known for her endearing performances in Rasna commercials, a popular soft drink concentrate brand in India, where she was often referred to as the "Rasna Girl." Her bubbly personality and expressive acting skills made her a favorite among viewers of all ages.
Beyond her success in commercials, Taruni also ventured into the world of cinema. She made her Bollywood debut with the film "Paa" in 2009, where she played the role of a classmate to Amitabh Bachchan, who portrayed a child with progeria. Her performance in "Paa" was wellreceived, showcasing her acting talent on the big screen. She also appeared in the Malayalam film "Vellinakshatram" as a child artist, further expanding her acting portfolio.
Tragically, Taruni Sachdev's promising career was cut short by a plane crash in Nepal on May 14, 2012, her 14th birthday. The Agni Air Flight CHT carrying her and her mother, Geeta Sachdev, crashed near Jomsom Airport, resulting in the loss of all lives on board. Her untimely death shocked and saddened the Indian film and television industry, as well as her numerous fans. Despite her short life, Taruni Sachdev left a lasting impression through her memorable performances and remains fondly remembered as a talented and charming young artist.
