Yashasvi Jaiswal is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a lefthanded opening batsman. He was born on December 26, 2001, in Suriaya, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. Jaiswal's journey to cricketing success is a story of dedication and perseverance. He moved to Mumbai at a young age, around 11, with the dream of playing cricket professionally. He faced numerous hardships, including living in a tent and selling pani puri to make ends meet while pursuing his passion.
Jaiswal's talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly rose through the ranks of Mumbai's youth cricket system. He gained national attention for his outstanding performances in domestic cricket, particularly in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In 2019, he became the youngest player to score a List A double century, showcasing his exceptional batting skills and temperament.
His impressive performances in domestic cricket earned him a spot in the Indian Under19 team, where he continued to excel. He was a key member of the Indian team that reached the final of the 2020 ICC Under19 Cricket World Cup, where he was the leading runscorer. Following his success at the U19 level, Jaiswal was signed by the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
