Dalip Singh Rana, known professionally as The Great Khali, is an IndianAmerican professional wrestler, actor, and powerlifter. Born on August 27, 1972, in Dhiraina, Himachal Pradesh, India, Khali's imposing stature and unique look quickly propelled him to international fame. Before his wrestling career, Khali worked as a security guard and officer for the Punjab State Police. He began his professional wrestling training in the United States, eventually signing with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2006.
