Thomas Pucadyil - A Lifestory

A person well known for new and great research in the study of molecules and chemicals in living things is a big name in the science world in India. They are like the character in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," looking for knowledge, but instead of old objects, they look for how cells work. As a teacher and head of biology, they guide and encourage new scientists, helping them learn more about life at its most basic level. Since 2008, they have been a strong force at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, where they study how cells are built and change. People who work with them often say they are very creative and devoted. One person said, "They can connect different ideas in a way that leads to amazing new things." This can be seen in their many writings and talks at big meetings around the world, which have made them known as a top expert in their field.
