Vaishnavi Phalke - A Lifestory
Crafted by Sacrifice, Driven by Dreams

Vaishnavi Phalke, born on 23 December 2003 in Maharashtra, India, is a talented defender in the Indian women's national hockey team. Coming from a modest background, she began her journey with limited resources, training on makeshift grounds and using a handmade stick crafted by her father. Despite financial constraints, Vaishnavi’s dedication and performances in local tournaments led to her selection for Hockey Maharashtra and eventually the national team. Balancing academics with rigorous training, she faced numerous challenges, including playing barefoot during a match when her shoes broke. Her perseverance, backed by her family's sacrifices, has made her an inspiration to young athletes, especially girls from smaller towns. Vaishnavi aspires to represent India at major events like the Asian Games and the Olympics, driven by her passion and desire to bring glory to the country.
