Here's an intro for this person, the revolutionary: This person's name is known for fighting against British rule in India. He was a very important person in the late 1800s. He was a freedom fighter and a revolutionary. He saw how bad things were for his people and decided to fight the unfair colonial rulers. He was born in 1845 in Shirdhon, Maharashtra. He saw how bad the famine and unfairness were. This made him really want swaraj, or self rule. He was upset because the government didn't care. He thought fighting with weapons was the only way. He made a group of fighters called the Ramoshi. He led them in fights. They attacked government money places and messed up the phone lines. People started calling him "Indian Robin Hood". Because of what he did, the British put a reward for catching him. He avoided being caught for a few months. But, he was finally betrayed and caught in 1879 at Babaladgi. He was put on trial and sent to jail for life. He went to the Aden jail where he died in 1883. He never stopped wanting India to be free. He still inspires people today. His story and how he gave his life show how brave and determined people were to get freedom.
