Recognizing the importance of transportation for economic growth, he established Premier Automobiles Limited (PAL), one of India's first automobile manufacturing companies, bringing cars to the Indian masses. Further diversifying his interests, he founded Scindia Steam Navigation Company, aiming to establish an Indian presence in the maritime industry and break the British monopoly on shipping routes. Perhaps his most audacious venture was the establishment of Hindustan Aircraft Limited, now Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which pioneered aircraft manufacturing in India, laying the foundation for the country's aerospace industry.
