Rohit Sharma was born on April 30,1987 to the couple Gurunath and Purnima Sharma in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. His Father worked as a caretaker of a transport firm storehouse. Because of his father’s low income Rohit was raised by his grandparents and uncles in Borivali .
Rohit started his education at Our Lady of Vailankanni High School in Mumbai and later received a scholarship to Swami Vivekananda School based on his exceptional cricket skills. After completing his 12th board exams, he opted to drop out of Rizvi College in order to focus entirely on pursuing his career in cricket.
