Origin and History of NIHARI

History:

One says Mughal emperors chefs invented it for late-night meals, slow-cooking meat and spices to make a hearty stew. Another says it was worker food, the slow cooking making tough meat tender and filling. These stories, though unproven, make Nihari even more interesting.

Description:

It might be important in some cultures, though. The word sounds warm and rich, maybe making it good for metaphors in those cultures. I need more info to say for sure.

Its more often a food name (a stew) than a persons name, so finding variations is tough.
