The Aakashapoos are also known as the Ahklapoo or Ahklapee. The Aakashapoos are a member of the Kalapuya tribe. The tribe's traditional territory included the area around Mount Hood and the surrounding valleys. The tribe's traditional way of life was based on hunting and gathering. The Aakashapoos are currently enrolled in the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.
