The AAVISHKARs are a Rajput clan from the state of Rajasthan in western India. The clan is believed to have originated from the town of Aavishkar in the Jaipur district. The AAVISHKARs are a warrior clan and their customs include wearing the kirpan (a ceremonial dagger) and participating in traditional Rajput warrior rites such as the Khatna ceremony.
