The Achchuvas are a Scheduled Tribe found in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in southern India. They are also found in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The Achchuvas are a community of agriculturalists and have a traditional occupation of cultivating paddy, cotton, and tobacco. They are also engaged in animal husbandry, fishing, and mining. The Achchuva community is composed of nine clans and has a population of around 210,000. The Achchuvas are a Hindu community and their religion is Hinduism. They speak the Achchuva language, a Dravidian language.
