Description:
The Ambadasgaawa (Amba-dasgaawa, Amba-dasgaawa-niikaniik, Amba-dasgaawa-taaniniik) are an Inuktitut-speaking First Nations people located in the eastern Arctic region of Canada. The Ambadasgaawa are divided into three groups: the Ambadasgaawa-niikaniik, the Ambadasgaawa-taaniniik, and the Ambadasgaawa-taaniniik-niikaniik. The Ambadasgaawa-niikaniik live in the eastern Arctic region of Canada, in the communities of Igloolik, Aklavik, and Qikiqtaaluk. The Ambadasgaawa-taaniniik live in the western Arctic region of Canada, in the communities of Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk, and Iqaluit. The Ambadasgaawa-taaniniik-niikaniik live in the eastern Arctic region of Canada, in the community of Nain.
