BAADITAMAAN (BAD-it-tam-a-n) The Baaditamaan people are a tribe of the Mahican Nation. They are located in central New York State, near the town of Herkimer. The Baaditamaan are of Algonquian descent and speak the Mahican language. They are known for their traditional birch bark canoes and their skill as hunters and fishers.
