Description:
Baccharis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. The genus is endemic to North America, with a distribution that extends from the southwestern United States to central Mexico. There are about 20 species in the genus, all of which are shrubs or small trees. They are known generally for their clusters of small, white, daisy-like flowers.
