The BADAKAMBIs are a Muslim ethnic group from the northeastern region of Bangladesh. They are a subgroup of the Bengali people and are believed to have originated in the present-day districts of Mymensingh and Sunamganj. The BADAKAMBIs are concentrated in the southeastern region of Bangladesh, and are also found in the Indian state of Assam. They are predominantly agriculturalists and are known for their distinctive dress and customs.
