The BAMPURAMs are a Hindu caste found in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. They are a sub-division of the KSHATRIYA VISHWA KUMAR community. The BAMPURAMs are a landowning community and are found in the districts of Thanjavur, Tirunelveli, and Pudukkottai. They are also found in the towns of Madurai, Dindigul, and Vellore. The BAMPURAMs are a traditional martial caste and are involved in agriculture, trade, and manufacturing. The BAMPURAMs are also involved in the Hindu temple worship and are known for their devotion to the Hindu god Vishnu. The BAMPURAMs have a caste council and are divided into five sub-castes: the BAMPURAM, the PADIYAN, the KANCHAN, the PADMAVATHI, and the KANCHANELLI. The BAMPURAMs are found in the villages of Bampuram, Kanchan, Kanchan, and Kanchanelli.
