There are many different variations of Buddhism, including Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. Theravada is the most prevalent form of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. Mahayana is the predominant form of Buddhism in China, Japan and Korea. Vajrayana is the predominant form of Buddhism in Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal.
