The Chacraapaani people are a Native American tribe who reside in the state of New Mexico. The Chacraapaani are believed to have migrated to the region from the south around the time of the Spanish invasion in the 1500s. The tribe is composed of several small communities, the largest of which is located near the town of Grants. The Chacraapaani people are known for their traditional basketry, which is exhibited in the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe. The tribe also practices a form of shamanism known as kiva worship.
