They are still a largely agricultural community, and are mainly involved in farming and cattle breeding. There are also a small number of Kinnagowdars who have become involved in business and commerce. The Kinnagowdars are a settled community and are largely Hindu. They have a distinct culture and customs which are based on their Hindu heritage. The Kinnagowdars are a proud and independent community and maintain their own language, culture and customs.
