The Chikkamagadis are believed to have migrated to the present-day Chikkamagad taluk in the 12th century, when the Muslim invasions forced the Bhor people to migrate. The Chikkamagadis are said to have settled in the area around the present-day village of Bhor. The Chikkamagadis are Hindu and speak the Bhor language.
