They are also known as the Chittikenas, the Chickasaw, the Chickasaw Nation, the Chickasaw Tribe, the Choctaw Nation, the Choctaw Tribe of Indians, the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation of Texas, and the Chickasaw Nation of Mississippi. The Chickasaw are the largest tribe in the United States, with a population of over 170,000 people. The Chickasaw language is a member of the Muskogean family. The Chickasaw Nation is headquartered in Ada, Oklahoma.
