Description:
Dachau is a town in southern Germany, located on the edge of the Bavarian Forest. The town was founded in the late 12th century and became an important trade center. In World War II, Dachau was the site of the first concentration camp, which was opened in 1933. The camp was used to detain political prisoners and members of the Jewish community. Dachau was liberated by the Allied forces on April 29, 1945.
