Dahan means “to bear, to carry, to bring” in the language of the Dahan people of eastern Tibet. The Dahanggans are a nomadic pastoral people who live in the highlands of eastern Tibet. The Dahanggans are one of the few Tibetan groups that still practices traditional herding and horsemanship. The Dahanggans are known for their beautiful woolen textiles and their distinctive horse-drawn carriages.
