History:

The Devanga community is believed to have originated in the region of Gujarat in India.
The Devangas were traditionally weavers of fine silk and cotton fabrics. They were also known for their skill in gold and silver work. Over the centuries, they migrated to other parts of India, including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, where they established their own weaving centers.

Description:
