The Gangadharra people are an aboriginal people of the state of Odisha in eastern India. They are one of the two major tribal groups in the state, the other being the Koraput people. The Gangadharra are a Scheduled Tribe. The Gangadharra are believed to be the descendants of the Saraswati River goddess. They are believed to have migrated to Odisha from the north sometime in the medieval period. They are now found mainly in the Koraput and Ganjam districts of Odisha. The Gangadharra are a matrilineal society. They have a traditional culture that is based on animism and shamanism. They are also known for their elaborate traditional dances.
