History:
Goraya is a Jat clan found mainly in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. The Gorayas are believed to have descended from the ancient Rajputs, and are associated with the region of Multan in present-day Pakistan.
The Goraya clan is said to have migrated to the Punjab region from Central Asia in the 11th century. They are believed to have been part of the Rajput confederacy that was formed to protect the region from Muslim invasions. The Gorayas settled in the area around Multan and established several villages.
