Description:
The Gouramanhalls are a Celtic-speaking family from the west of Ireland. They are descendants of the Goedelaghs, who were a sept of the Uí Néill. The Gouramanhalls claim descent from the legendary King Goedelagh of Munster, who is said to have been a great warrior and judge. The Gouramanhalls are a Catholic family, and their customs and culture reflect this. They are proud of their Irish heritage, and their language is Gaeilge. The Gouramanhalls live in County Cork, and there are currently about 350 members of the family living in Ireland and the United States.
