Description:
The Gurashidh (also spelled Gurasidh) are a Muslim Rajput clan who are found in the state of Rajasthan in western India. The Gurashidh are a branch of the Ghurids, a Muslim dynasty that ruled over much of northern India from the 8th to the 13th century. The Gurashidh are believed to have descended from the Muslim general and conqueror of India, Sultan Mahmud of Ghur.
